Founded in 1980, Terre Sans Frontières (TSF) is an international aid charity that currently works in Bolivia, Mali, Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, Republic of Congo, Senegal, and Tanzania. International program areas of focus include education, water and sanitation, health, climate resilience, and entrepreneurship. The charity has three overarching pillars: Humanitarian Aid, Sustainable Development, and Volunteer Cooperation.
In F2024, TSF reported that it equipped 19 health posts with cribs, tables, and delivery boxes in Senegal. The charity stated that it installed two boreholes with hand pumps at its two training sites in Bakongolo and Mudzi-Bala in the Democratic Republic of Congo. TSF reported that it carried out seven mandates, centred around finance, infection control or heath in F2024.
In the News: March 1, 2019: CBC News reports concerns about Terre Sans Frontières homeopathic treatments for tropical diseases in Honduras. This is a small program of TSF relative to its spending on international programs yet raises valid concerns about evidence, results and impact.
