About Scott Mission:

Founded in 1941, Scott Mission is a Christian charity that supports poor people in downtown Toronto. Scott Mission has two main programs. Its main program is its shelter program for homeless men in Toronto. Scott Misison also does community service, which includes subprograms like food banks, clothing banks, summer camps, raising awareness, health clinic, counselling, and spiritual services. In fiscal 2024 (year ended September), Scott Mission spent $41.5m on its programs.
Most of this spending was on its shelter program. Scott Mission has two men’s shelters in downtown Toronto. In F2024, the charity provided 42,615 nights of safe shelter, a 73% increase from the 24,563 nights of safe shelter provided in F2023. In F2024, 396 unique men were served through Scott Mission’s shelters.
