OVERVIEW

About Ratanak International:

Ratanak International is a 2-star charity that is not fully financially transparent. Its results reporting score is D+, which is below average. Its overhead spending is within Ci’s reasonable range. Its reserve funds can cover two years and four months of annual program costs.

Founded in 1989, Ratanak International (RTI) is a Christian organization that serves exploited individuals in Cambodia. The charity reports that human trafficking and economic exploitation is prevalent in Cambodia due to high levels of poverty and a lack of social services.

RTI organizes its programs into three main programs: Restore, Return, and Prevent. It does not provide a program spending breakdown.

Restore provides trauma counselling, life-skills training, and educational and vocational opportunities to help survivors. In F2023, 121 trafficking survivors received career development services.

Return works with Cambodian government agencies to help return trafficking survivors after being held captive in another country. RTI does not report the number of survivors it rescued for F2023.

Prevent teaches Cambodians to identify signs of human trafficking. In F2023, 140 families received trafficking prevention training.
